Meet Lucas Gedak, Senior Developer at our HQ located in Mission, BC, who has been with the i-Open Group for four and a half years.
What is your role at i-Open Technologies?
I am the senior developer at i-Open Technologies.
How long have you been with the i-Open Group?
I’ve been with the i-Open Group for four and a half years.
What is the most challenging part of your role?
I would have to say that the most challenging aspect of development are the last minute changes.
What is the most rewarding part of your role?
I love solving tough problems and seeing the work we do put to use in the real world.
Where are you from and how long have you lived in the Fraser Valley?
I’ve lived in Mission since I was just a little three year old toddler. That makes it over thirty years in mission.
How did you hear about i-Open Technologies?
Funny enough, my wife found the job listing, and now here I am.
What is your favourite thing to do outside of work?
I have a problem with collecting e-books and trying to find time to read them all. I also spend a lot of time studying all things related to video game development. Also, spending time with my wife and kitties.
What is the most embarrassing thing that has happened to you?
Unfortunately for you, nothing comes to mind.
Where do you volunteer or give back to the community?
i-Open Technologies is involved in many community outreach programs, so I would say most of my volunteer work is through the company.
Tell us something that not everyone may know about you.
I like cats, and I have four of them. Though one of them I don’t like, and it’s a problem I’m stuck with.
